Download

Install Grace on your Mac

One command in Terminal. It signs your Mac in, checks your subscription, and only then downloads Grace and, if it is missing, Node.js. Claude Code must already be installed.

$ /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://parsimic.com/install.sh)"
Try free for 24 hours

Just create an account · no payment details · ends on its own

No subscription yet? You can also just run the command above: when you confirm the code in your browser, start your free day there with one click — the installer then continues by itself. 24 hours from the download, no payment details, no automatic subscription.

It asks before it installs anything, and it stops before downloading if the account has no active subscription or free day. Read the script first.

When the installer starts downloading Grace, your right of withdrawal ends — you agreed to this with the box when ordering. After that you can still cancel any time to the end of the paid month (on the yearly plan during the first 12 months, to their end). Changed your mind before installing? Withdraw first. A new subscription always starts with this download, also on a Mac where Grace is already installed from an earlier one or from your free day.

Run the command in the Terminal app, not in the Claude chat. Restart Claude Code afterwards.

If Node.js is already on your Mac: usually under 2 minutes (our estimate). If the installer adds Node.js, that download comes on top. Updates: under 1 minute.

Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) · Claude Code · a Grace subscription or your free day

The Grace plugin, plus Node.js if it is missing

Run the same command again — under 1 minute

Five steps

  1. Subscribe — or start your free day

    Grace is only delivered to accounts with an active subscription or a free day (your first day is free: 24 hours, no payment details, one Mac). You can start the free day beforehand or with one click when you confirm the code (step 3). Start your free day

  2. Run the command

    Paste it into the Terminal app (Applications → Utilities → Terminal) — not into the Claude chat — and press Return.

    $ /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://parsimic.com/install.sh)"
  3. Confirm the code

    The installer shows a code like ABCD-2345 and opens parsimic.com/geraet. Sign in with your Grace account (or create one) and confirm it. Without a subscription, the page offers your free day right there. Only confirm a code you see in your own Terminal.

  4. Automatic setup

    It checks your subscription, then sets up the Grace plugin for Claude Code and, if it is missing, Node.js. It asks before each install, and it asks for your projects folder: Grace looks at the name, a short description and the language of each project there (never .env files, keys or code; the list stays on your Mac) and builds new projects on its own.

  5. Restart Claude Code

    Quit Claude Code completely and start it again. If the installer set up Homebrew or Node.js, start it from a new Terminal window: the old one does not see them yet. Run /grace:grace-einrichten once. Then just type your task — Grace sees whether it is a new project and builds new projects on its own.

Before you start

Mac
Apple silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs are not supported.
Claude Code
Installed, so that the command claude works in Terminal.
Subscription
An active Grace subscription on the account you confirm the code with (it covers up to 2 Macs) — or your free day (one Mac, 24 hours from the download).

What the command does

The script is public, so you can read every line before it runs. Grace itself is not: it is only handed out after the subscription check. View install.sh

  • Checks this Mac: Apple silicon and that Claude Code is installed; it also shows the free disk space. It refuses to run as root.
  • Signs this Mac in with a device code confirmed in your browser. The device key is kept in your login Keychain as WebAI:grace.token — the same place the Grace plugin reads it from, so you sign in once. The sign-in belongs to this Mac: the installer sends a one-way ID of it (a SHA-256 of the sign-in and the Mac's hardware UUID, never the UUID itself).
  • Checks the subscription at parsimic.com. Without an active subscription or free day it stops: nothing is downloaded. For the free day it also sends a second one-way ID of the Mac (a SHA-256 of the hardware UUID alone), so that each Mac gets one free day.
  • Asks before installing Homebrew and Node.js. It never uses sudo itself; only Homebrew’s own installer may ask for your password.
  • Installs Grace: downloads it over HTTPS, checks its size and SHA-256, unpacks it to ~/.claude/grace/marktplatz, registers it with Claude Code as the plugin grace@grace, and asks Grace itself whether it sees the sign-in.
  • Never removes anything of yours and never prints your device key.

To read it before running it:

$ curl -fsSL https://parsimic.com/install.sh -o install.sh
$ less install.sh
$ bash install.sh

Updating

Run the same command again. It skips what is already in place, downloads Grace only when a newer version is out (or when a new subscription starts), and keeps the previous version next to it (~/.claude/grace/marktplatz.vorher). Then restart Claude Code.

If something goes wrong

No active subscription
The installer stops before it downloads anything. Start your free day with one click on the page it shows, then press Return in Terminal — it continues without a new command. Or subscribe, then run the same command again — this Mac stays signed in. Free day
This Mac already had a free day
Each Mac and each account gets one free day. Subscribe to keep using Grace, then run the same command again. Pricing
Your free day has ended
Grace stops working when the free day ends. Without a subscription it removes itself 24 hours later at the earliest, at the latest the next time Claude Code starts with an internet connection after that; your projects stay as they are. To keep it, subscribe, then run the same command once more — your subscription starts with that download. Pricing
All Mac slots are in use
A subscription covers up to 2 Macs. Remove one you no longer use under Account → Devices, then run the command again. Account
The code expired or was declined
A code is valid for ten minutes. Run the command again for a new one.
Signed in with the wrong account
The installer names the account it found (for example t***@gmail.com). If that account has no subscription, it offers to sign this Mac in with a different one: answer y and confirm the new code while signed in to the right account.
The sign-in belongs to another Mac
A sign-in only works on the Mac it was made on; copying it to another Mac does not work. The installer then signs that Mac in on its own, and it counts as one of your 2 Macs.
Could not save the sign-in in your Keychain
Your login keychain is probably locked. Unlock it in the Keychain Access app, then run the command again.
This Mac has an Intel processor
Grace is not available for Intel Macs.
Claude Code is not installed
Install Claude Code first, open a new Terminal window, then run the command again.
Node.js comes from nvm, Volta, fnm, asdf or mise
The installer does not install a second Node.js next to it (it would never be used). It shows the command for your version manager instead, for example nvm install 24 && nvm alias default 24. Open a new Terminal window afterwards.
Too many downloads
Each Mac can download Grace 10 times a day. Try again the next day.
Claude Code does not show Grace
Quit Claude Code completely (not just the window) and start it again. claude plugin list should show grace@grace.

Uninstall

The installer never removes anything, so uninstalling is by hand. In Terminal, one line at a time:

$ claude plugin uninstall grace@grace
$ claude plugin marketplace remove grace
$ rm -rf ~/.claude/grace/marktplatz ~/.claude/grace/marktplatz.vorher
$ security delete-generic-password -a grace.token -s WebAI:grace.token

Then remove the Mac from your account under Account → Devices.

What is stored

On your Mac: the Grace files in ~/.claude/grace and the device key in your Keychain. On our side: each download with your account, the Mac, its one-way ID and the Grace version, kept for 90 days — to enforce the download limits and to keep each sign-in on the Mac it was made on. For a free day also when it started and ended and a one-way ID of the Mac, kept for 12 months after its end, so that each Mac gets one free day. Details in the privacy policy.
